What is a Long Term Recovery Group?

A Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is a community-led team formed in response to a major disaster. It brings together local nonprofits, churches, community leaders, volunteers, and government representatives to help folks get back on their feet. LTRGs are supported by agencies like FEMA, but they’re run by local people who know the community best.
